What is a trunk show?

Many brides have never experienced a trunk show before and I always get asked "what is a trunk show", "how does a trunk show work", "how will my appointment differ from normal". So, I thought I'd take this opportunity to tell you all about a bridal designer trunk show and talk you through what to expect and give you a little taste of what's to come.

What Is A Trunk Show?

A trunk show is a special designer event, for a limited time only, hosted by me where you can come in and view the entire new collection from a particular wedding dress designer. When a wedding dress designer releases their new collection they then send it on a 'tour' of their boutique so that brides can have a first look at (and try on) all of the gorgeous new dresses, sometimes before they're even due to arrive in store. So not only will you be one of the first brides to try on these new dresses you'll also have a larger selection to chose from than I'd normally hold in the boutique!

Why Attend A Trunk Show?

If there's a particular wedding dress designer that you've fallen in love with a trunk show is the perfect opportunity to see the brand new collection (and usually more of it than you usually would get to in the boutique) before anyone else. Just make sure that you're ready to find your dream wedding dress as the dresses are in store for a limited time only.

A trunk show appointment runs the same as any other appointment so don't worry about your experience as that will still be as amazing as ever!

Do I Need To Book An Appointment?

Yes. I'm open longer hours on a trunk show weekend and have appointments available on Saturday and Sunday. This makes sure that I have a chance to offer appointments to more brides so that you don't miss out. However, these weekend slots are in high demand so make sure you book in advance to avoid disappointment. The dresses are usually only here for one weekend and I wouldn't want you to miss finding your 'one' because you didn't book in advance.

To check what trunk shows are coming up and book in advance, just head over to the events page where you'll find up-to-date information about all my upcoming trunk shows.

You can still expect the same level of service and of course be welcomed into the boutique by me with a great big smile and lots of excitement at the prospect of finding your dream wedding dress at one of my designer trunk shows. Your appointment will be 1.5 hours so there's plenty of time to relax, have a drink and find your dress in the comfort of the boutique.

Can I Only Try Dresses On From That Collection?

No, you're very welcome to try any of the dresses that we have in store. If you're booked in on a trunk show weekend this doesn't limit you to one designer. I'll still have all of my other gorgeous wedding dresses waiting in the wings to be tried on. There is no limit to what you can try on, the only thing I would say is try not to try on too many. I only say this because once you start trying on lots it can sometimes become very overwhelming. Also we are limited to 1.5 hours and trunk show weekends are always fully booked so we can't overrun.

Thanks for reading and remember to book your appointment here as spaces on the trunk shows are limited!
